Meet Casey
Hi, I’m Casey from Batch 1. Before enrolling in Kajea's course, I worked as an Amazon Virtual Assistant.
After a month that I wasn't thrilled as an Amazon VA and that this isn't what I wanted. Mostly because before becoming a freelancer, I worked as an accountant in a corporate environment. I realized accounting is really my PASSION.
I have accounting experience, but I am hesitant to apply because the majority of the job postings require knowledge of XERO and Quickbooks.
I have never regretted enrolling in Kajea's course. After a few weeks of watching the module, I began looking for jobs and receiving numerous interviews and rejections.
I lost track of how many rejections and final interviews I've had. I usually look over my résumé, cover letter, and interview responses whenever I get rejections to see where I can improve.
I never gave up hope, and I continue to pray and believe that I will find a client who believes in what I can do. After a month of applying, I finally landed a job in the e-commerce industry, which includes Amazon, eBay, and other selling platforms. I was happy since it was still Amazon, and it was somehow related to my previous work but I am not a VA anymore, I am one of their accountants.
After a month, I got another 2 local clients bringing my monthly revenue to 6-digit.
I used to have a hard time applying for jobs and interviews, but now I’m constantly getting a message from a client about their job opening. I really enjoyed working because I am finally doing what I love, with a flexible schedule, working from home, more quality time with my family, and traveling wherever I want.
This is the true definition of work-life balance.
